Every now and then, radio doesn't suck

I'm home in Hampton Roads doing my parents job while they vacation in Brazil. I was listening to good ol 103 Jamz this morning when they had a trivia contest for tickets to a comedy show. This chick called in to play, claiming she was really good at trivia. The exchange went something like this.

DJ: Question 1 - Who was the magician associated with King Arthur's Court?
Girl: Umm... David Copperfield?
DJ: No. Question 2 - Which United States president gave America the New Deal?
Girl: Umm... uh.. Bush?
DJ: No baby, he gave us the raw deal. Question 3 - Code Red is the cherry flavored version of what beverage?
Girl: Umm I can't really hear you... can I pass?
DJ: That's the last question baby....

Church

I went to church for the first time ever last Sunday. Turns out it's pretty interesting stuff. Actually reminds me a lot of reading law cases - in general, they try to cite sources (the bible) but when there isn't something that supports what they're saying or makes a lot of "logical" sense, they turn to "Because God said so," a lot like how courts go to equity and natural justice when they run out of things to cite.

But all in all, lots of good life advice. If you ignore the God part of it. I think I'm hooked - going to keep going back. At least for a little while. At least it's something that doesn't involve drinking, and it actually opens before the gym does on Sundays. I'm in.
